Portland, Ore.-based Sapa, a provider of aluminum extrusions, building systems, and precision tubing, has completed an asset purchase agreement with Northwest Aluminum Specialties Inc. to acquire its casting plant in The Dalles, Ore. This facility brings Sapa''s North American cast house network to a total of nine locations.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sapa has purchased the physical assets of the casting facility, including plant, property, equipment, and inventory. The company plans to retain most of the more than 50 employees employed at the plant.
