The World Steel Association (worldsteel) mentioned that the capacity output in April was writing a new high. More than 60 countries’ crude steel production had grown by approximately 1%, coming to a total of 157 million tons
The leading steel manufacturer in Taiwan, China Steel Corporation (CSC), reminded on this issue and it worried whether or not the market would be affected.
With the US tariffs on steel, the US steel manufacturers had already benefited from it. The capacity utilization had increased by 10%, reaching more than 80%, which represented more production.
On the other hand, the original suppliers to the US, such as the factories from Asia and Ukraine, had switched their target to Southeast Asia, which also a factor to messy the market.
