Italian Feralpi Group plans to increase Riesa mill's annual capacity to 1.3 million tons-The 20th China (Guangzhou ) Int’l Casting product Exhibition

Italian Feralpi Group mentioned it will upgrade the mill which produced rebar and wire in Riesa, Saxony region of Germany, with annual capacity of 1.3 million tons. The project was planned to be implemented in two years with total investment of 60 million euros.
Feralpi Group said that it will strengthen the production quantity of rebar and steel coil to meet the increasing market demand for German infrastructure projects.
However, overcapacity has exceeded demand in recent years, especially in Ital. Feralpi Group has shifted its focus to the Nordic market.
In 2018, the group''s turnover outside of Italy accounted for 62%.
