According to the report, in order to restrain the illegal steelmakers, China government would inspect randomly in some certain province areas. It would be a significant part of Chinese excess capacity management during this year.
However, some industries planned to expand their annual production because they saw the capacity reduction bringing better profits on steel products and revived the market. Chinese steel suppliers would be supported if authority could implement the new policy strictly.
The country already cut its steel production successfully by 115 million tons by the end of 2017 which was ahead its goal. The profit of 2018 was reported to have a growth of 39% roughly year on year.
