The tension between the EU and the United States on steel and aluminum tariffs was decreasing. Jyrki Katainen, the vice president of European Commission for Growth, Employment and Investment, commented that the discussion between two sides were quieter than two weeks ago.
Katainen siad that both sides had very good discussions, the situation was quieter than it was initially. He insisted that the EU was trying to get the United States to guarantee the EU exemption on steel and aluminum tariffs would be permanent.
Although he still did not know how would be the end, but at least the discussions were underway, the connection was good and the situation was calmer than before, reiterated Katainen.
