United States domestic wire rod market is facing a big challenge, due to falling scarp steel prices and weak market demand. US plans to introduce of new pricing policies in order to stimulate the market.
Some people think mills tend to raise prices, but most of steel makers just pray the scrap steel prices rebound in the spring.
Currently, US’s wire rod spot price remains at US$500~520/ton or US$551~573 $/short ton, the ex-factory price.
