Chilean Codelco shuts down Ventanas smelter for overhaul-The 21st China (Guangzhou) Int’l Spring Industry Exhibition

Corporación Nacional del Cobre (Codelco), a state owned copper mining company in Chile, stated on Wednesday (August 21st) that it has shut down its Ventanas smelter for overhaul. The Ventanas smelter was situated in the coastal town of Puchuncavi.
Codelco said that the copper smelter has been shut down on Monday (August 19th), but the firm didn’t give the details about the shutdown period and the impact on production.
