Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), a steel and energy company in India, announced that its crude steel production reached 450,000 tons in March, up by 55% year on year; the sales volume of steel came to 450,000 tons, up by 29% year on year. Both production and sales volume hit a new high for a single month.
In the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2017-2018, JSPL’s crude steel production totaled around 1.3 million tons, up by 38% compared to the same period a year ago; the sales volume of steel was around 1.2 million tons, up by 29% compared to the same period last year.
The statistics of production and sales volume from JSPL’s subsidiary Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel (JSIS) were excluded in the above figures.
