South Korean HDG steel plate exports slide, imports surge in Oct - The 20th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

According to the statistics from the Korea Iron & Steel Association (KOSA), the exports of South Korean hot-dip galvanized steel plate totaled around 149,000 tons in October, down by 13.8% compared to the previous month, also dropping by 1.5% from the same month last year.
As for the imports, South Korea imported around 78,000 tons of hot-dip galvanized steel plate this October, surging by 57.7% from the previous month, also up by 14.1% compared to the same month a year ago.
It was understood that the continuous increase in South Korean imports was due to a downward trend of hot-dip galvanized steel plate quotations from China.
