Chinese steel mills implement new national standard for rebars- The 20th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

China related ministries and commissions formulated new national standard for rebar and the steel mills were proceeding the new one since November 1st, 2018. The old standard GB/T 1499.2-2007 will be replaced by GB/T 1499.2-2018.
The new standard cancelled grade 335MPa and increased 600Mpa grade, also added "–E" for earthquake resistance grade.
The new tolerance of fix length should not exceed 0-50mm, the bending per meter was not more than 0.4%, and the new weight tolerance of rebar diameter 6-12mm was adjusted to +/- 6.0%.
In addition, the rebar surface should be marked with the grade number, the serial number of the manufacturer and the nominal diameter.
