Taiwan’s Walsin Lihwa to raise stainless steel wire rod prices for Feb- The 19th China (Guangzhou) Int’l Plate metal, Bar, wire, Metal Processing &Setting Equipment Exhibition

Walsin Lihwa, one of the steel wire rod manufacturers in Taiwan, announced to hike its stainless steel wire rod prices by NT$1,000~7,000/ton for February. The move was mainly due to the continuous cost rise in raw materials of stainless steel.
Walsin Lihwa said that the recent nickel prices continued rising, and the price of ferromolybdenum was up to US$5,000/ton. Therefore, Walsin Lihwa decided to raise its stainless steel wire rod prices.
After the price adjustment, the price for 300 series was up by NT$5,000/ton; that for 316 was up by US$7,000/ton; that for 400 series was up by NT1,000/ton.
