The five major Dutch companies dealing with the fasteners importation established the first ever Dutch industry association on December. NEVIB, the Dutch Association of Importers of Fasteners and Related Industrial Products, was created at a meeting in Tilburg.
The interests of the fastener industry will be represented by the Association towards the Dutch government and EU. The major principle of NEVIB policies is to promote free trade.
NEVIB says that, the Dutch fasteners industry is a significant economic business and a major player in the Dutch construction sector considering its large annual turnover and thousands of job opportunities. NEVIB indicates that it will cooperate as much as possible with similar associations in other European countries as well as the overarching European association, the European Fastener Distributor Association.
