According to statistics from Taiwan Customs, in the first 3 quarters of this year, the imports of stainless steel scrap in Taiwan totaled around 313,000 tons, which were doubled from the same period in 2018, hitting a 5-year high with great excess.
However, the imports of ferronickel totaled only 89,300 tons roughly during the same period, reaching a new low compared to the past 5 years.
