European stanless steel prices decline further-The 17th China(Guangzhou)Int'l Stainless Steel Industry Exhibition

It is reported that European stainless steel prices continued to fall in February this year, due to weak market demand, falling alloy surcharges and high import volumes from Asia.
Market participants pointed out, especially the demand in the energy sector remained sluggish in February. In the US, demand for flat and long products also remained sluggish. However, the domestic cold rolled coil prices increased slightly as local producers cut the production capacity.
On the other hand, the falling input costs would effect on stainless steel prices in Asia. For example, Japanese and Taiwanese selling values have decreased further in February this year.
